If every park needs an iconic ride -- one that stands out and flaunts itself -- this Ferris wheel would be it. It stands in the center of Paradise Pier, shadowing both the boardwalk that surrounds it and the double-decker carousel to its side. You can get a great view of the park as you slowly swoop around up and down the wheel's 100 foot circular structure. There are plenty of gondolas as the ride, made by Chance Manufacturing, holds up to 120 passengers at a time.
